Upgrades

This page will tell you anything you need to know about upgrades. I'll tell you different kinds of them so you know what to look for. I'll also tell you good places to buy them from.

A motor is pretty much what runs the bike. The higher you go with the motors output or watts, the more power you will have. You would want to go with SEVO to buy a motor. He has great prices, and up to a 900 watt motor. Rumor is hes soon going to get 100 and 1200 watt motors. Those are some of the most powerful on the market. These are also not too hard to replace or upgrade. One thing is let your new motor break in. If you fully throttle it, you can blow the motor in seconds. Wait about 5 minutes before fully throttling it. This is for only the first time.

If you want to replace the battery, you would want to get a new controller. A new battery will improve the time you have riding it. The only problem is that they are expensive, and you would have to get a new charger to charge it. A 36 volt battery need a 36 volt charger. You can get these on a lot of sites.

Controllers

The controller is used for the control over the pocketbike. These could get hard to upgrade bacause you need to take out every wire to it. You can get the best ones from SEVO. This and the sprocket could make the biggest difference in speed, and torque. The usually are from $80 to $150. Most come in a silver color.

This part goes on the motor to connect the chain to it. The higher it is, the lower the top speed is, but higher torque. The lower it is, higher speed, and lower torque. You can also find these anywhere online. These are generally under $20 depending on the teeth you want on it. They also make rear sprockets which turn the chain on the wheel. These are easy to upgrade,but greatly improve performance.

Wheel

The wheel is what grips the ground. Racing tires are slick and have no grooves in them. Off-road or touring tires have grooves in them to prevent fall. Sava is the leader in tires, but they are very expensive. This is the hardest thing to upgrade because the wheel is very hard to put on.
